Sean Hingorani scored his first ARCA Menards Series West win in his sixth series start in Saturday’s West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame 150 at Irwindale Speedway. Hingorani, who led 62 laps on the night, took the lead for the final time with 17 laps remaining and led the rest of the way to take the victory.
Hingorani’s win was also the first in the ARCA Menards Series West for Venturini Motorsports, the winningest team in the history of the ARCA Menards Series.
Landen Lewis finished second, his second consecutive runner-up finish. He also finished second in the season-opening race at Phoenix Raceway. Lewis was one of three drivers to lead the race, pacing the field for a total of 17 laps.
Tyler Reif, winner of the season opener at Phoenix Raceway, finished third. He unofficially leads the ARCA Menards Series West standings by two points over Lewis.
Trevor Huddleston finished fourth after scoring his first-ever General Tire Pole Award in qualifying. Huddleston led a race-high 71 laps on the night.
Defending race winner Tanner Reif finished fifth, joining his younger brother Tyler in the top five.
Tyler Reif and Landen Lewis are the only two drivers to have finished in the top five in both ARCA Menards Series West races so far in 2023.
Reif, Lewis, Trevor Huddleston, sixth-place finisher Kyle Keller, and eighth-place finisher Bradley Erickson are the five drivers who have finished in the top ten in both ARCA Menards Series West races in 2023.
Bradley Erickson was in contention for a top-five finish when he and Tyler Reif made contact racing for third on lap 126. Erickson spun and made contact with the turn three retaining wall. The resulting damage forced him to pit for repairs, costing him four laps and leaving him eighth at the finish.
Bobby Hillis, Jr. finished ninth, his first top-ten finish since he finished tenth in July, 2021 at Irwindale.
Canadian David Smith earned his first career top-ten finish, crossing the finish line in tenth.
