Niota, TN - The Great Lakes Super Sprints National Tour and the USCS Sprints put on a co-sanctioned two-day event over the weekend at Tennessee's I-75 Speedway. The race marked the second Tour event of the 2023 season going back to the Waynesfield Raceway Park event earlier in April.
The GLSS drivers came to play with great performances by all the drivers who made the trip. On night number one, Mooresville, North Carolina's Gavan Boschele came from the 6th spot to grab the win on Friday night over Zane DeVault, Chase Dunham, and the event's Hard Charger Brad Lamberson who drover from 19th to finish 4th, with former GLSS Champion, Dustin Daggett rounding out the top five.
On night number two, the defending GLSS Champion, Max Stambaugh got the best of the field after rolling from the outside of row number two. Stambaugh held off Boschele who was looking to go back-to-back, Tennessee natives Terry Gray and Morgan Turpen Havener finished third and fourth, while Phil Gressman rounded out the top five.
The next event for the Great Lakes Family of Sprint Cars will be Friday, May 5th at Limaland Motorsports Park for the first race of the NRA Sprint Invaders Season.
