CLASH on the COAST Night #2; Three Michigan Natives Make Main Event

Thirlby, Rosebrugh, Ward Qualify for Main Event on Tuesday

Baker, FL (Tuesday, February 28, 2023) - Night number two of the CLASH on the COAST took place on Tuesday night at Northwest Florida Speedway. Three IMCA Modified regulars from Michigan raced their way into the show, with Traverse City, Michigan's Colin Thirlby posting the best finish of the week so far in 10th. Rob Brillhart was also in action in the CRUSA Street Stocks.

For the IMCA Modifieds, Thirlby had the banner night of the group moving up from 3rd to finish 2nd in his second heat. His efforts automatically qualified him for the main event. In heat race number one, Chase Rosebrugh wheeled his car from 7th to a transfer spot in 3rd. Ryan Heskett was also in heat number two and struggled finishing 8th. AJ Ward transfered into the evening's main event when he finished 2nd in heat race number three. Dale Kaake III was in the fifth heat race of the night and finished fifth, outside of a transfer spot.

In B-Main number two Kaake and Heskett were both in action looking for a chance to get into the main event. Kaake started 4th but was unable to hang on and slid back to 9th. As for Heskett, he fell two spots going from 9th to 11th.

In the A-Main, Thirlby posted the best finish of the Michiganders so far this week. The Traverse City driver moved up from his 12th starting spot and finished 10th. Rosebrugh finished 16th coming from his 18th starting spot. A tough feature event for Ward who started toward the front in 11th but had issues and finished 24th.

The CLASH by the COAST takes a "beach day" on Wednesday before returning to action on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Fans can catch the action at IMCA.TV.
