Cole Williams Back in Action with Rackley WAR at Cordele's Speedfest

Special from Rackley WAR: Centerville, TN (Friday, January 7, 2022) - Cole Williams, winner of the 2021 All-American 100 Pro Late Model event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, will slide back into the driver’s seat with Rackley W.A.R. at Cordele’s Speedfest coming up January 28-29 at Crisp Motorsports Park and Watermelon Capital Speedway.

Williams renewed his commitment to Rackley W.A.R. in December and plans to run the full late model schedule at Nashville in addition to other possible regional events with the team.

The Borden, Indiana native claimed the late model championships in 2014 and 2016 at Nashville and is poised for another big year coming off his impressive win during the coveted All-American 400 weekend.

“I’m looking forward to kicking off the 2022 season early this year with the Rackley W.A.R. team,” said Williams. “I’ve ran there once, in 2017. We had a solid car and finished second. I’m definitely anxious to get back on the track and finish one spot better this year with a win! It would give us great momentum to start off the season.”

Team co-owner Willie Allen said Speedfest should give the team a lot more knowledge going into the new racing season while also competing for the win.

“We definitely want to pick up where we left off in 2021 and make this new season one to be remembered. It’s great to have Cole back with us and I think Cordele gives us a good opportunity to work on some things to help us going into the season at Nashville and the whole team is pretty pumped to bring home a trophy. We’re definitely looking forward to a great weekend.”

The Jan. 28-29 event will be a will be a JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance special non-points 100 lap Pro Late Model event. Williams will be in the No. 26 Chevrolet with primary sponsors Bordeau Metals and Rackley Roofing, Inc.

The team also recently announced that it will field a Super Late Model entry for this event driven by Josh Berry and that Matt DiBenedetto will campaign the team’s No. 25 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chevrolet Silverado full-time in 2022.

Live coverage of the weekend’s Speedfest events will be streamed on Racing America’s Speed51.tv.
