Detroit, MI (Thursday, December 24, 2020) – Champion Racing Association gave pavement late model fans an early Christmas present on Wednesday afternoon when releasing both their ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance ’21 schedules. Next year, the ARCA/CRA Super Series will embark on their 25th anniversary season and visit the mitten state on four occasions. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour begins their 11th season of touring and are scheduled to compete in Michigan twice.
Both tours begin their season together in Cordele, Georgia for CRA SpeedFest at Crisp Motorsports Park – Home of the Watermelon Capital Speedway on Saturday, January 23rd.
The first points event for the ARCA/CRA Super Series is at Anderson Speedway in Indiana on Saturday, April 10th.
Both the ‘Super Series’ and ‘JEGS Tours’ will be back together on Sunday, April 25th at the high banks of Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana. This Track Enterprises promoted event will mark the return of the ARCA/CRA Super Series to Salem for the first time since 2009.
Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway hosts both tours along with the ARCA Menards Series East on Saturday, May 8th. This blockbuster event will serve as the North/South Late Model Challenge featuring multiple sanctioning bodies including CRA.
Winchester Speedway hosts the ‘Super Series’ for a Tuesday evening special on May 18th. The early weekday race has been dubbed the Fly Over State 150.
Wednesday, June 9th, CRA makes their first appearance in the state of Michigan of the season. The ARCA/CRA Super Series heads to Marne, Michigan for the Money in the Bank 150 at Berlin Raceway.
The ‘Super Series’ remains in Michigan for the traditional Level Pebble race at Flat Rock Speedway on Saturday, June 19th. The historic Michigan quarter-mile referred to as, ‘The Rock’, has produced some of the best ARCA/CRA Super Series racing in the last decade. Highlighted by Scott Hantz’s pair of victories in 2012 and 2013. Brian Bergakker was the most recent ‘Super Series’ winner at Flat Rock, collecting the triumph in 2019.
The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour has a lone Ohio show on Sunday, June 27th when the Tour travels to the unique Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia, just outside of Dayton. The last ‘JEGS Tour’ race at Kil-Kare was in July of 2017, won by Carson Hocevar.
Attention turns back to Anderson, Indiana for the Running of the Redbud 400 on Monday, July 12th. This ARCA/CRA Super Series 400 lap race is one of America’s crown jewel super late model events. Michiganders’ Carson Hovercar and Johnny VanDoorn won the past two Redbud 400s at Anderson Speedway.
The 9th Running of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Masters of the Pros 150 will be held at America’s Favorite Short Track – Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, on Saturday, July 17th. The Masters event marks one of the countries highest paying pro late model contests. Past event winners include Matt Craig, Bubba Pollard, Cole Williams, Chase Elliott and John-Hunter Nemechek. This event was held in Michigan, at Birch Run Speedway in June of 2018 when Pollard went to victory lane.
Though Birch Run, Michigan will not host the Masters in 2021, the four-tenths mile oval will host both the ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour on the same day for the first time in Speedway history. The big CRA special takes place on Saturday, July 31st.
Both Tour’s will be together again at Berlin Raceway for the Battle at Berlin 251 on Saturday, August 21st.
Winchester Speedway hosts both CRA premier late model series’ over Labor Day weekend for the annual World Stock Car Festival.
Toledo Speedway’s famed Glass City 200 will be run on Saturday, September 18th featuring the ARCA/CRA Super Series and of course, Outlaw Super Late Models. Carson Hocevar etched his name in the Glass City 200 record books with a win last season. Other ‘Super Series’ winners include Johnny VanDoorn (twice) and Tyler Ankrum.
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Fall Brawl will once again be held at Lucas Oil Raceway Indianapolis, this year the date is set for Saturday, October 2nd. Travis Braden, Jake Garcia and Brian Campbell are among the recent winners, awarded the traditional boxing gloves in victory lane.
The 50th Running of the Winchester 400 is set for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 15th, 16th and 17th. The ‘JEGS Tour’s’ 100 lap Championship race is scheduled for Friday night while the ‘Super Series’ Championship race is also the 400, on Sunday afternoon.
Both Supers and Pros will wrap up their seasons with the 37th Running of the All
American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on the weekend of October 30th.
