Flat Rock and Toledo Release 2022 Schedules



Flat Rock, MI - In keeping with their long-standing efforts, Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway officials released the schedules for the 2022 season before the Christmas holiday. Flat Rock Speedway is once again staying with the plan that worked well for the ¼ mile bullring in 2021. For all events through June 4th, the track will have a 4pm Saturday start time. The season opener is scheduled for May 7th, with the traditional Outlaw Super Late Models (OSLM), Street Stocks (SS), and Figure 8’s (F8) kicking off the 70th anniversary season. Some key events on the schedule for the Outlaws include the Joy Fair Memorial 100 on May 28th, a 75 lap contest as part of the Level Pebble 200 that will also feature a 125 lap joint event for the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour, on June 18th, and the Stan Yee Memorial 150 on July 23rd. Brian Bergakker swept the Joy Fair Memorial 100 and the Stan Yee Memorial 150 in 2021, while Carson Hocevar captured the VanDoorn Racing Development 125 for the ARCA/ CRA Super Series in June.


The Street Stock class with once again stage their biggest race of the season on June 25th, a 100 lap event, which will also feature the first of 2 trips to Flat Rock by the MCR Dwarf Cars. The always popular School Bus Figure 8 Night’s once again return on June 11th, and Sept 3rd. Also part of the 2022 schedule are two Kid’s Nights ( May 21st, July 16th), along with a Friday Night Special on August 5th. The biggest fireworks display in the history of the track is part of the 70th Anniversary Special on July 9th. The track will crown its 2022 champions with their final points event on August 27th.


Toledo Speedway once again returns with a variety of events to entertain any race fan in 2022. Toledo will kick off their 2022 season with the first of three School Bus Figure 8 events on Sunday, May 15th. July 1st and August 12th are the placeholders for the remaining two. The Late Model Sportsman, Factory Stocks, and Figure 8 divisions will also compete in events that dot the 2022 campaign. The Midwest Modifieds Tour will make their return to the ultra-fast ½ mile on May 22nd for a 50 lap event. The Hemelgarn Racing / Rollie Beale Classic for the USAC Silver Crown Series sees a date change for 2022. The event has been moved up from the typical October date to Saturday, August 6th.


The Outlaw Super Late Models make their only appearance of 2022 at the Glass City 200 on September 17th. They will be joined by the ARCA/ CRA Super Series, with both classes staging 100 laps events. Cayden Lapcevich and Blake Rowe will be looking to go back to back following their wins in 2021. The track will close out its 2022 season on Saturday October 8th, with the ARCA Menards Series 200 lap Season Championship event. Late Model Sportsman and Factory Stock Championships will also be part of the race card.
