Ganus Changes Engine, Dominates Mod Wars



Kalamazoo, MI (Monday, May 17, 2021) - After losing a motor in Practice, replacing said Engine, with no laps on the motor, qualifying ninth, starting on the pole thanks to an inversion of nine and waiting out an hour and 15-minute rain delay, Jeff Ganus would emerge from the 2021 Mod Wars at Kalamazoo Speedway $5,000 richer Saturday night.

The Constantine, MI standout in his #5 Whitman's Auto Sales / Burkett Nester Racecars machine held off a late charge from David McManus to lead all 75 laps and also guarantee the 39-year-old driver a spot in the prestigious Hot Shoe 100 on August 6-7th with his first career Tolley Farms INC Midwest Modifieds Tour victory

McManus finished a strong second ahead of Crossed Rifles Training Fast Qualifier, Walt Obrinske Jr., while Matt Maurer and Two-Time Defending MMT Champion, Kyle Purvis completed the top five.

Three-Time CRA Super Series Champion, Scott Hantz pocketed $1,100 after taking the lead from Jordan Lechota with 17 laps to go to Win the B Feature.
