GLTS June 3rd Date Moved to I-96 Speedway

Merrill, MI - The Great Lakes Traditional Sprints presented by PErfit is making a change in our schedule for Saturday, June 3rd. The date was originally a scheduled doubleheader with a race at Limaland Motorsports Park on Friday, June 2nd and then racing at Butler Speedway on June 3rd.

With us promoting I-96 Speedway this season and running a Saturday night show on June 3rd, we have struggled with what local classes we could run without affecting the other Saturday night tracks in the state. As I have stated before, all the neighboring tracks are also our customers and the last thing I want to do is hurt them. Our goal is to work with all the tracks to provide the best racing we can.

I called Tim Wilbur at Butler Speedway and discussed my problem of needing another class and he graciously allowed us to move our race from Butler to I-96 for that night giving us a Saturday night show with Great Lakes Super Sprints, the Midwest Compact Tour and Great Lakes Traditional Sprints.

Michigan is blessed with a great bunch of passionate track promoters that are working hard to make racing better for the fans and for the racers. It's a pleasure to pick up the phone and be able to help each other. That effort and passion will continue to make Michigan dirt track racing great.

The next Great Lakes Traditional Sprints presented by PErfit race will be at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, May 27th followed on Sunday at Waynesfield Raceway Park on May 28th.
