Hall of Famer Lindahl to join Horsepower Happenings

Toledo, OH (Thursday, March 25, 2021) - Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame Announcer Gary Lindahl, who’s announcing has been heard throughout the Great Lakes Region for decades, has agreed to join the Horsepower Happenings podcast team. In addition to announcing at many of Michigan’s race tracks over the years, Lindahl is also known for his “Did Ya Know” column in the MARC Times.

Each week, the Jackson native would include a quiz in the popular racing publication, and the answers would be revealed in the next issue. Beginning in April, Lindahl will appear monthly on Horsepower Happenings to offer up one of his now famous quizzes. The quizzes will also be posted on the Horsepower Happenings Facebook page, for fans to take their best shot at answering the questions in the comments. Fans who can answer all of the questions correctly will go into a drawing for various event tickets or racing swag throughout the summer.

“I’m thrilled to be able to bring back the Did Ya Know quizzes on Horsepower Happenings”, commented Lindahl. “Zach and Rich do a great job supporting motorsports in our area, and I look forward to the opportunity to contribute. It’ll be fun.”

Lindahl will once again return to the microphone with his co-announcer Rich Frantz for the 2021 season, at the Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways. When asked about his plans for retirement, Lindahl shares his standing answer, “Not yet.”
