Hartford Motor Speedway Boosts DIRTcar UMP Modified Payout for 2025

HARTFORD, MI - With the 2025 season about to unfold on Friday, May 9th at Hartford Motor Speedway, officials with the track have announced a pay increase for one of their regular divisions, the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds. One of just two tracks left in the state to race DIRTcar sanctioned Modifieds, Hartford is looking for support from those who race Butler Motor Speedway (MI) on Saturday nights and Indiana racers who haven't found a home since the closing of Gas City I-69 Speedway.

Car counts for the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds struggled in 2024 at Hartford. Last year's opening night on May 17th drew in 11 cars, 12 unloaded at the next show on June 7th, just 8 returned the following week, 15 turned out on July 3rd, and 10 rolled up for the final UMP Modified show of the season on August 9th last year.

The payout from 2024 has increased a total of $1,000 throughout the field. Previously, UMP Modifieds paid $1,000 to win and $150 to start. Now, $1,200 is the winner's share with $200 being handed out to starters. The new payout breakdown is as follows:

  1. $1200

2. $900

3. $600

4. $400

5. $350

6. $300

7. $250

8. $225

9 thru 20 - $200

Alongside DIRTcar UMP Modifieds this weekend, Hartford Motor Speedway hosts Super Troopers (Crown Vics) and Cyber Stocks. Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing set to begin at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available at the gate for just $15. For more information on Hartford Motor Speedway, visit www.HartfordSpeedway.net or find them on Facebook and X.
