Home Pro Racing Adds Ruhl, Macedo, and Hahn for 2023

Three Former Sprint Car Champions to Share Home Pro Racing in 2023

Ionia, MI (Thursday, March 2, 2023) - After a successful start to the 2023 season with Cole Macedo behind the wheel at East Bay Raceway Park, Home Pro Racing has announced their scheduled driver line-up for the remainder of the 2023 season. The roster includes 2021 Great Lakes Super Sprints (GLSS) Champion, Ryan Ruhl, 2022 Attica-Fremont Challenge Series (AFCS) Champion, Cole Macedo, and 2021 American Sprint Car Series Champion (ASCS), Blake Hahn. Between the three drivers, a 50-race schedule has been formed for the 50YR SHINGLES machine.

Cole Macedo has already run five races with Home Pro Racing in Florida. During those events, he picked up a win during the King of 360s at East Bay Raceway Park. Macedo will be back in the 50YR SHINGLES car at Attica Raceway Park with the Tezos All-Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC) on Friday and Saturday, April 7th & 8th for the Attica Spring Nationals. The following weekend Macedo will race at Attica and Wayne County Speedway with the AFCS and FAST on Dirt Sprints. Home Pro Racing Owner, Shannon Eifert says he’s excited to have Macedo in the car even for a limited number of events.

“Cole has a busy schedule in 2023,” said Eifert. “We have him scheduled for nine races this year but we are working on putting him into the car for a few more races if our schedules allow for it,” remarked Eifert. “He is a great pickup for our new team,” exclaimed Eifert. “Anytime Cole Macedo is driving your car you have a chance to win.”

Blake Hahn will run 10 races in 2023 with Home Pro Racing. Home Pro Racing will field a second race car with Blake Hahn driving it at the GLSS races on June 2nd & 3rd at I-96 Speedway. Two Home Pro Roofing sponsored cars will unload at Attica and Butler Motor Speedway on July 21st & 22nd. In addition to those races, Hahn will run six races with the ASCoC at Wayne County Speedway, Tri City Motor Speedway, Butler Motor Speedway, and Eldora Speedway in the 50 YR SHINGLES Home Pro Sprint car. Eifert says working with the former ASCS Champion was a no-brainer.

“This was a fun deal to put together with Blake,” remarked Eifert. “He is one of the top 360 drivers in the country. Moving forward, he is planning on running more 410 races in the future so we were excited to put him in our 50 YR SHINGLES 410 Sprint Car; but, it wouldn’t be right not to have him run just a couple races with one of the strongest 360 series in the country, the Great Lake Super Sprints. So, we are excited to watch him run at I-96 Speedway as well.”

Ryan Ruhl will pilot the 50 YR SHINGLES car for the majority of the 2023 season. The remaining 30+ races on the schedule will feature Ruhl behind the wheel contending for a GLSS North division championship. Ruhl will also have an opportunity to race some 410 events throughout the year as well. Eifert says there were many worthy of the seat, but Ruhl was a perfect fit.

“We have him scheduled to run about 30 races for us,” said Eifert. “Ryan is a past GLSS Champion, he has a bunch of talent and he still has the passion to drive sprint cars. When it came out that we had an open seat for our car we received a ton of interest, but in the end, Ryan was the clear choice for our race team. Our crew chief Robert Flanigan has also worked with Ryan in the past with great results so we feel like we can contend to win every week,” concluded Eifert.

The 50 YR SHINGLES car is next in action on April 7th & 8th with Cole Macedo during the Attica Spring Nationals. Ryan Ruhl will begin his tenure with Home Pro Racing during GLSS opening weekend on Friday and Saturday, April 21st & 22nd at I-96 Speedway and Crystal Motor Speedway.
