Intimidator 100 Returns to Kalamazoo Speedway

Kalamazoo, MI (Thursday, April 29, 2021) - For the first time since 2019, Kalamazoo Speedway is geared up and ready to get back to racing. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Kalamazoo was unable to host a single race last season, but looks forward to Friday night. The Intimidator 100 for Outlaw Super Late Models kicks off the regular season with a $5,000-to-win 100 lap race. Some of the area’s best Outlaw Late Model Drivers are expected to attend.

Fresh off a $4,000 pay-day Friday night at Corrigan Oil Speedway, Phil Bozell is likely to be in attendance at Kalamazoo. Bozell came from a top 10 starting spot to go on and dominate the 50 lap contest. Bozell has said this season is not necessarily about points racing anywhere, but rather racing for wins. At the last Intimidator 100, Bozell brought his number 8 machine home in fifth. His father, also known as 12-Time, Andy Bozell is likely to join him in the pits Friday night.

Defending Track Champion, Adam Terry is looking forward to returning to the track he called home in 2019. In fact, Terry is also the defending winner of the Intimidator 100. During the 2019 event, Terry bested Tyler Roahrig by over three-tenths-of-a-second at the line for the win. Terry is also coming off a tenth-place effort Friday at Corrigan Oil Speedway.

True Performance’s, Doug True is also likely to attend Friday’s Intimidator 100 with his new True Performance nose piece. Although True seemed to struggle early Friday at Corrigan Oil, he rebounded to finish 9th at the end of 50 laps. Plus, he’s fresh off a win on Saturday at South Bend Motor Speedway.

Other drivers to keep an eye on this weekend include the Roahrig who is always tough in Outlaw Late Models and is always tough at Kzoo with plenty of wins, including Klash Wins. Plus, keep watch for drivers like Kyle Crump, Steve Needles, Jeff Ganus and others.

Tickets for the Intimidator 100 go on sale at 3:30 PM Friday afternoon and are available at the gate. Racing begins at 7:30 PM with a features only format to get fans out of the chilly weather in a timely manner.
