Jack Attack Ready to Battle in 2021

Hunter Jack Seeks Championship, Tanner Embarks on JEGS Tour Rookie Season

Auburn, IN (Wednesday, January 6, 2021) - The Jack name is very familiar to fans of Late Model pavement racing throughout the Great Lakes region. Brent was a very successful Outlaw Late Model competitor, who won many races during his career. The torch has now been passed to his sons, Hunter and Tanner. Both young men are navigating their way in short track racing.

Hunter, the eldest of the two, is trying to make a name for himself in Late Model racing. In 2020, Hunter reduced his schedule to assist Tanner in his efforts. Heading into 2021, Hunter has announced a full-time schedule with the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Along with annual stops at Anderson, Salem, Flat Rock, and Toledo, Hunter is looking to take on some crown jewels, with some hefty competition. The Battle at Berlin, the Redbud 400 (Anderson), The Winchester 400, and the All American 400 (Nashville Fairgrounds) are all on his schedule.

Hunter says he’s not opposed to other events that aren’t necessarily on the ARCA/CRA Super Series schedule. Hunter says if the sponsorship is there, they’ll go to races like the Slinger Nationals and the Rattler 250.

“When you want to be the best, you have to race against the best,” commented Hunter on Horsepower Happenings on Monday. ”The Bubba Pollards, the Stephen Nasses, that’s who you want to race.”

In a move that should help in that goal, the team is awaiting delivery of a brand new Vandoorn Racing Development (VRD) chassis, which they are expecting to receive in the next week or so. While it’s not a change of chassis, Hunter says their excited about the success of VRD in 2020.

“We’ve been with Vandoorn for about five years now, and it’s been incredible the support they’ve shown,” Hunter said. “We’re looking forward to more years with them.”

As far as Tanner is concerned, he is ready to take his career to the next level. After one win, rookie of the year honors, and a 4th place finish in the Championship Points Standings with the Vores Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series, the 18-year-old announced his intentions to run his first full-time season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour in 2021.

The youngster has been very successful early in his career at the Angola Motor Speedway, and last season in the Vores Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series. Tanner will be joining his older brother at some major events in 2021 including the Battle at Berlin, Winchester 400 weekend, and All American 400 weekend at Nashville are on his schedule.

So it seems, that following his retirement, Brent has not slipped away into the darkness, but rather working side by side with Hunter and Tanner, to help make them the best they can be. It really is a family affair in Auburn, Indiana. Fans can keep up with the progress of the Jack squad by following Hunter Jack Racing #41 and Tanner Jack Racing on Facebook.
