JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Winchester Speedway Saturday


Special from Champion Racing Association: Salem, IN (August 30, 2022) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will return to action this Saturday as part of the traditional Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival on the historic High Banks of Winchester Speedway, located in Winchester, Indiana. The Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival will be a huge weekend of stock car racing featuring the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the Vore’s Compact Touring Series, the Midwest Modifieds, the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS, the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, Thunder Roadsters and for the first time ever Ford Crown Vics.


Saturday’s event will be the eighth points event of the season for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Casey Roderick won the series’ season opener on April 24th at Salem Speedway. Dylan Fetcho won the second event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on May 7th. Kyle Crump won the series’ third event at Birch Run Speedway on May 14th. Ethan Stadniczuk won the fourth event of the season at Flat Rock Speedway on June 16th. Carson Hocevar won the series fifth event at Birch Run Speedway on July 4th. Willie Allen won the July 9th Masters of the Pros event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Nicholas Naugle got his first JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour win in the series last event on August 6th at Anderson Speedway. The series has had seven different winners in its seven events to date with none of the season’s winners to date entered for Saturday’s event at Winchester Speedway.


Leading series rookie Nick Egan comes into Saturday’s event as the current series Championship points leader and was the series Regular Season Champion after Birch Run, locking the Wisconsin native into the final Chase for the Championship group to race for the series Championship at Winchester Speedway on October 14th. Dakota Stroup is the only other driver eligible for the Chase for the Championship. Those two drivers will compete for the series Championship, as long as they compete in each of the series Chase events leading up to the Championship event at Winchester Speedway on October 14th. Both Egan and Stroup are entered for Saturday’s event.


Other top CRA competitors entered for Saturday’s event includes 2021 Winchester Speedway series ‘season Championship event winner Jon Beach, current ARCA/CRA Super Series rookie points leader Billy Van Meter, Kevin Cremonesi, Brandon Varney, Evan Varney, James Krueger, Dylan Bates and former ARCA/CRA Super Series event winner Ali Kern Dukeshire. Former series regulars Jonathan Martin and Jordan Miller are both entered to make their 2022 series debuts on Saturday. Avon, Indiana native Tom Miller is entered to make his series debut Saturday.


Minnesota native William Sawalich is entered to make his debut on the High Banks of Winchester Speedway on Saturday. Sawalich is coming off his fourth straight CARS Pro Late Model Tour win this past Saturday at Motor Mile Speedway and his fifth total with that series. Sawalich finished second to his teammate Sammy Smith in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Hubler Automotive Group Redbud 400 on July 16th. Sawalich will be pulling double duty this weekend, he will also compete in Sunday’s 100 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series event.


Florida native Michael Hinde is also entered for Saturday’s event to make his Winchester Speedway debut. Hinde won the series SpeedFest 2022 season opening event at Watermelon Capital Speedway on January 29th. Hinde is also entered to pull double duty this weekend, also competing in Sunday’s 100 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series Winchester 400 tune-up event.


The Labor Day Weekend World Stock Car Festival at Winchester Speedway starts with an optional move-in and optional open practice this Friday. Pits open at 3pm. Open practice will begin at 6pm. There will be a full race program for Ford Crown Vics on Friday starting at 8pm.


Pits open on Saturday at 10am. There will be two open practice sessions a piece for the ARCA/CRA Super Series, Midwest Modifieds, Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, and the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks on Saturday. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, Vore’s Compact Touring Series and Thunder Roadsters practice, qualify and race their features on Saturday. Practice begins at 1pm, qualifying begins at 5:45pm. The race program will start at 7pm with Thunder Roadster 8 lap heat races, then the Vore’s Compact Touring Series D&J Sales B4 Miniseries 20 lap Championship event, followed by the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100 lap feature, the 20 lap Thunder Roadsters feature will be next, with the Vore’s Compact Touring Series Knapp Supply 30 lap feature closing out that day’s racing action.


Pits open on Sunday, September 4th at 11am. Practice for the ARCA/CRA Super Series, Midwest Modifieds, Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, and the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will begin at 1pm. Qualifying begins at 4pm. Sunday’s racing program will begin at 6pm with the 40 lap Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman feature, followed by the Midwest Modifieds 40 lap feature, the ARCA/CRA Super Series 100 lap Winchester 400 tune-up feature will be next, with the 40 lap Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks feature closing out the weekends racing action.
