Auburn, MI (Friday, May 28, 2021) - The opening night of what was scheduled to be a triple-header weekend of racing for the Allstar Performance Late Model Challenge Series Supported by Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort has been suspended. Officials with Tri City Motor Speedway announced that Friday night’s races had been suspended due to continued rain and forecasted cold temperatures into the evening hours. A reschedule date for the Challenge Series event has not been determined.
Racing will commence this weekend for the Late Model Challenge Series, with a two-day show still on schedule at Merritt Speedway. Saturday night features Qualifying, Heat Races, and Odd/Even Features paying a minimum of $1,500 to win. Then on Sunday, $10,000 is on the line during the weekend’s highlight event.
