Michigan Dirt Late Model Power Rankings May 15, 2024

A full weekend of racing for the Dirt Late Models in Michigan feature first time winners and returns to Victory Lane for the first time this season. Friday night, I-96 Speedway returned to action, however, just 10 cars checked in to compete. A scary moment early in the feature when Travis Stemler barrel rolled in turn one, collecting David Hilliker. All drivers involved were okay. Chase Burda led early, but an engine problem handed the lead over to Chad Finley who went on to collect a dominating win, his first of the year. At Mid-Michigan Raceway Park, Taylor Wiles was the best of the half dozen cars on the race track, collecting his first win of the 2024 season.

Saturday, Crystal Motor Speedway returned to action with a full field of cars on the property. Eric Spangler started on the pin and drove to his second feature win of the year at Crystal ahead of Mike Vandermark, Jr. Thunderbird Raceway was also in action Saturday, with double-features due to rain last week. Former track champion, Rich Neiser held off a charge from Jeffrey Erickson, Jr for the win. Erickson, however, flipped the script in the regularly scheduled feature later that night, coming from fourth to get his first career Super Late Model feature win.

This weekend, even more opportunity presents itself for drivers to move around in the Power Rankings, with Merritt and Tri City Speedway opening for the season.
