Mother Nature again played an evil trick on racers, fans, and tracks across Michigan on Friday night. I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa was unable to go with saturated grounds and a forecast that included more rain through race time. Thunderbird Raceway successfully kicked off the 2024 season, however, was washed away before the Super Late Model feature could take to the race track. Tri City Motor Speedway remains closed for the off-season as did Mid-Michigan Raceway Park.
That left just one track in action this weekend for the Michigan Dirt Late Model Power Rankings, Crystal Motor Speedway. For the second consecutive week, the Power Rankings are built around the results from CMS, giving a few fan favorites a bit of an advantage early in the season.
