A full weekend of racing for the Super Late Models in Michigan last weekend caused some shake-ups along the Power Rankings as we roll into the first full day of summer. One thing remains a constant, Travis Stemler's early and consistent start has kept him on top of the Power Rankings for several weeks. Other drivers are making a charge though into mid-season.
Chad Finley had an exceptional weekend going back-to-back winning at Tri-City Motor Speedway and Merritt Speedway on Friday and Saturday night (he would go 3 for 3 after winning the Outlaw Super Late Model Bob Finley Memorial on Wednesday). Finley's winning weekend made him the first driver in the state to have four wins in 2024, however, due to the points structure based on field size, Finely sits just outside the top ten at this point in the season.
Travis Stemler and Steve Hilliker also went to Victory Lane on Friday night. Hilliker's win gives him a win for six consecutive decades. Sources say he's also searching for a Championship in each of those decades. Saturday, Ryan Vanderveen collected his second win of the season at Crystal Motor Speedway while Tom Sprague, Jr collected the Thunderbird Raceway victory.
