Michigan Template Late Model Power Rankings Presented by VanDoorn Racing Development 05/29/24

The Template Late Models had a huge weekend of racing across the state of Michigan for Memorial Day Weekend. Aside from Kalamazoo Speedway pulling the plug on Friday night, everyone was in action to contribute to the Michigan Template Late Model Power Rankings Presented by VanDoorn Racing Development.

Saturday took the brunt of the results after Kalamazoo Speedway cancelled due to the threat of severe weather on Friday night. Berlin Raceway, Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway, and Owosso Speedway were all in action with Template Late Models on Saturday night. Berlin Raceway welcome the house division Super Late Models with 16 cars in action for 75 laps on Saturday night. Tyler Rycenga grabbed his first career Super Late Model win over teammate Brian Campbell and Andrew Scheid.

Down at Springport Mid-Michgian Speedway, 14 cars were on hand for their Late Model Sportsman division. Hot shoe this year, Jerry Pierman grabbed another win in his No.42 over Springport regular and Championship contender, John Trudell. Then, at Owosso Speedway, 27 cars checked in the for the $10K to win Big O Classic 100 with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Canadian, Chase Pinsonneault came out on top after a fierce battle with Evan Shotko. Kyle Steckly snuck through coming to the checkered flag for second.
