Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Rankings Presented by Home Pro Roofing 07/11/2024

The Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Rankings Presented by Home Pro Roofing returned with familiarity over the weekend. Butler Motor Speedway's regular 410 division was in action going head-to-head with the Michigan CAT Great Lakes Super Sprints at Tri City Motor Speedway.

With GLSS, two-time and defending Great Lakes Super Sprints Champion, Max Stambaugh was running third when the five laps to go signal was given. Then, leader Dustin Daggett lost the top of the race track in turns one and two, handing things over to Jared Horstman. On the first attempted restart, Stambaugh showed his potentially race winning move around the outside but the caution flew before he could cross the line. Then, as Horstman defended the move on the next attempt, a caution waved once again. On the third attempt to restart the race with five to go, Horstman committed to the top with Stambaugh committed to the bottom. With two laps to go, Stambaugh pulled alongside Horstman out of four and took the lead down the backstretch. Horstman tried to get back to Stambaugh's inside in turn three, but the No.71H slammed the door and went on to get the win.

At Butler, second generation race car driver, Andy Chehowski collected his first career sprint car win. The Coldwater, MI native rolled off on the outside of the front row en route to the win. Chehowski held off Chris Jones and Jason Blonde for the win.
