Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Rankings Presented by Home Pro Roofing Return in 2024

Updated: Apr 12, 2024

Horsepower Happenings is proud to announce the return of the Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Rankings Presented by Home Pro Roofing for the 2024 season. Nothing to win except the bragging rights of saying you're the best to ever grace the track in the Mitten State.

This season, several chances to garner points present themselves for drivers who pilot a 305, 360, or 410 cubic inch Winged Sprint Car. First, the weekly 410 division at Butler Motor Speedway. Averaging nearly 18 cars per night in 2023, the Butler Motor Speedway house division is home to some of the state and region's top talent when they aren't on the road with a sanctioning body. Last year, Max Stambaugh was crowned the Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Ranking winner with 125 total points coming from 17 top 10s, 13 top fives, and two wins in Michigan.

The Great Lakes Super Sprints are the closest sanction and most frequent flier in Michigan with their Michigan CAT Division. With occasional dates paired up with 410 Winged Sprint Car options, including dates at the aforementioned Butler Motor Speedway, certain drivers could double-down on points collected toward the power rankings. High Limit Racing will also roll into Butler the first Saturday of June, which will undoubtedly add some names to the Power Rankings that we won't see be in contention at the end of the season.

The Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Rankings Presented by Home Pro Roofing are a performance-based power ranking. When an event is held in Michigan, the top 10 finishers from the A-Main will be awarded points on the following scale. Points will be tallied each week and announced on before the next weekend of events on Horsepower Happenings social media platforms.

Power Rankings Points Structure:

  1. 10 points

  2. 9 points

  3. 8 points

  4. 7 points

  5. 6 points

The first edition of the Michigan Winged Sprint Car Power Rankings Presented by Home Pro Roofing is set to debut after the April 19th & 20th weekend when the Michigan CAT Great Lakes Super Sprints Presented by Engine Pro and ARP conclude their doubleheader weekend at I-96 Speedway and Crystal Motor Speedway.
