Midweek Racing Returns with Eastern IMCA Allstars

Crystal Motor Speedway Hosts Wednesday Night Show

Crystal, MI (Wednesday, May 12, 2021) - The first midweek show of the season is set for tonight at Crystal Motor Speedway for the newly formed Eastern IMCA Allstars. The event will feature four divisions of racing with a traditional evening start time and is the first race under the new banner.

A full slate of racing is on tap that includes IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Pro Stocks/Pro Trucks, and Compacts. Drivers will compete in a traditional Heat, B-Main, A-Main format in all divisions. Eastern IMCA Allstars Promoter, Bradley Bowser says the creation of the midweek show checks another box in his racing career.

“I have been working for track owners for a few years,” Bowser said. “I have done everything from flagging, tech, line-up, safety… pretty much done everything you can do with racing except promote a race.”

Bowser also says his goal is to bring more racing to Michigan and bigger shows in the future. Bowser says his goal is not to make money on these events, but just enough to host the next race.

“I want to see Michigan be a place where people talk about coming to race from all over the country,” said Bowser.

As for IMCA Stock Cars, Bowser says it may take some time to see the response for that division. A widely popular class in other Midwest states like Iowa, the class has struggled to gain traction in Michigan.

“I originally put this series together to get the IMCA Stock Cars a start here in Michigan,” remarked Bowser. “We will start slow, but I think it will take off in years to come.”

An impressive purse awaits drivers who attend Wednesday’s races. IMCA Modifieds will battle for $1,000 to win and $200 to start, while IMCA Stock Cars race for $600 to win and $125 to start, and Compacts racing for $500 to win and $75 to start.

Gates open tonight at 5:00 PM at Crystal Motor Speedway with Racing starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are just $15.
