Springport, MI (Thursday, April 8, 2021) - With the COVID 19 Pandemic putting the squeeze on almost all major events in 2020, the fans of Monster Trucks in Michigan have been sorely missing their favorite form of entertainment. With that in mind Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway is teaming up with Monster Truck Throwdown, the leading providers of complete monster truck event planning and event production. This will be the first such exhibition in the State of Michigan in over a year and will be the first ever event for the group at the Springport track.
Monster Truck Throwdown is a Michigan based organization, active since 2012
“We’re looking forward to coming to Springport. It’s kind of our home turf. And we’re looking forward to bringing live monster truck entertainment back to Michigan,” said Elliott Miller the event producer.
The shows are formatted with the trucks competing in a best trick contest, a qualification time competition, and a freestyle competition. Among those expected to be in attendance is top contender and two-time champion Avenger based in Columbus, Michigan. Also preliminarily committed to the event are Brutus, Terminal Velocity, and a slew of Michigan-based talent in addition to some of the other nationally known trucks.
“It’s going to be great entertainment and it’s going to bring a lot of attention Springport. We’re really looking forward to it,” said Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway co-owner Curt Ainsworth.
The event kicks off with a Track Party at noon featuring a chance to meet the drivers and see the trucks up close, as well as merchandise, face painting, and a bounce house. Tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate in advance at MichiganMonsterTrucks.Eventbrite.com or are available to purchase at the track ticket office on the day of the event.
