PODCAST: Hettinger, Michigan's new Trailblazer & Roahrig Lands Full-Time Silver Crown Ride


Detroit, MI (December 20, 2022) - Horsepower Happenings Season 4, Episode 45 has hit the airwaves featuring two drivers sharing their big plans for 2023 plus, Merritt Speedway announced a move to IMCA for next season.


Katie Hettinger began her auto racing career in quarter midgets and continues progressing up the ladder finding success in Junior Late Models and now, traditional Late Model competition, and has even made an ARCA Menards Series start in 2022 at age 15. The Dryden, Michigan racer became the youngest female feature winner at Hickory Motor Speedway and earned NASCAR's Wendall Scott Trailblazer Award (read more). Hettinger's next step takes her full time on the Pro Late Model Touring circuit with one of the top teams in the short-track racing business as she continues her inspiring auto racing journey.


One of the most successful Outlaw Super Late Model racers in recent years returns to open wheel racing but this time on USAC's biggest stage. Tyler Roahrig, a two-time Little 500 Champion, joins Zach and Rich to discuses his anticipation for a full season in the USAC Silver Crown Series next year.


Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee, Gary Lindahl made his monthly appearance on Horsepower Happenings with his famed quiz, "Gary Did Ya Know".
