Spangler & Tasker Headline Opening Night at Crystal Motor Speedway





Crystal, MI - The 2024 season is officially underway for Crystal Motor Speedway. New clay welcomed the nearly 130 cars that unloaded for the first official race of the season in Michigan. Eric Spangler rolled from the point in the 30 lap A-Main and held the top spot all the way to Victory Lane. Travis Stemler was one of the race's biggest movers coming from the 9th spot to finish second ahead of Garrett Wiles who rounded out the podium. Bill Bray, who won the B-Main to transfer into the main event, was the biggest mover of the race finishing 9th from the 17th starting spot.


In the IMCA Modifieds, Casey Tasker rolled from the third starting spot before tracking down the lead and the first win of the season. Austin Wonch started second and held that position for the duration of the 20 lap contest and Breyton Deyoung came from fourth to finish third. Chad Wernette was the biggest mover of the race, up 12 spots from his 20th starting spot to finish 8th.
