Bristol, TN (Friday, March 19, 2021) - Just two days of racing remain for the Karl Kustoms Bristol Dirt Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway. After losing a day to mother nature on Thursday and a partial day on Wednesday, teams and fans are getting back to racing tonight. The schedule includes plenty of feature racing action and features a 25 lap, $10,000 to win main event for the Super Late Models.
Of the many Super Late Model entries tonight, the Great Lakes Region is represented well with a pair of track champions among other recognizable names in Michigan Late Model Racing. Portage, Michigan's Chris Nash is expected to be in attendance in his 354 Trailers machine. Plus, Ionia's Bryant Dickinson is on the property behind the wheel of his 5*.
2020 Allstar Performance Late Model Challenge Series champion, Travis Stemler will unload his Anklem Racing Rocket Chassis number 4 inside the high banks at Bristol where the goal this weekend is to simply make the show. Along with him, two-time and defending Merritt Speedway Track Champion, David Mielke. Mielke unloads with a brand new Domination Race Car by Rusty Schlenk Racing.
As for the other Michigan natives, they'll be fighting within their respective divisions for a shot at their feature event. Some drivers have already qualified for their feature events, including Curt Spalding, who nearly won his Qualifier Feature on Wednesday.
Tonight's events begin around 2:30 pm with Hot Laps and Group Qualifying for Super Late Models. Then, racing is scheduled to begin around 5:00 pm starting with Super Late Model Heats. In addition to Super Late Models, tonight's program will also feature Sport Mods, Modifieds (IMCA/B-Mods), and 602 Crate Late Models. Fans can watch the races at www.racexr.com.
