Triple Crown #1 Saturday at Birch Run Speedway for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour

Potential for over $30k to Win Triple Crown Challenge Begins Saturday

Nashville, TN (Wednesday, May 10, 2023) - The beginning of the points-paying season starts Saturday for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance during Triple Crown Race #1 at Birch Run Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan. The idea is simple, win, go the back, repeat. One driver has the chance to cash in over $30,000 if they accept the challenge after winning this Saturday’s race.

The Triple Crown was originally launched in 2022 and has continued into 2023 with the same concept. A $7,000 Bonus if the winner of Race #1 starts at the tail of Race #2 and wins. Then, a $25,000 Bonus if the winner of the same driver starts on the tail of Race #3 and wins. Last season, one driver nearly accomplished the task but came up just two spots short.

Kyle Crump won the first ever Triple Crown event at Birch Run Speedway in the spring of 2022. Coming from his fourth starting spot, Crump held off a hard-charging Evan Shotko and eventual Championship hopeful, Nick Egan. Then, in Triple Crown Race #2, Crump took the challenge and started at the rear of the field. It looked as though he could have collected the bonus from his No.50 Crosstown Motorsports entry, however, he just couldn’t run down the top duo of Carson Hocevar and Katie Hettinger. Crump settled for third, which meant the bonus money was safe for 2022.

In the fall race, Hocevar showed he had great speed at the front of the field at Birch Run. The Portage, MI native drove his No.14 to the point from his outside pole starting spot. Hocevar took the lead from polesitter Crump on lap six and never looked back. Hocevar bested Chase Burda who finished second by over 1.2 seconds.

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is also offering up other great ways to earn prizes with the Winner Circle Program, Special Event Awards, and Contingency Awards. Eligible drivers could collect an additional $500 to win on Saturday, $250 to finish second through fifth, and an additional $100 for the rest of the eligible drivers inside the top ten.

Racing on Saturday begins at 6:00 PM ET with grandstands opening at 5:00 PM ET. Tickets are available in advance at www.BirchRunRacing.com or on race day at the gate. Fans who can’t make it to the races can watch all the action LIVE on RacingAmerica.Tv.
