ST. MARYS, Ohio (04/21/25) – Tyler Erb survived an attrition-filled battle in Saturday’s Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial at Tazewell Speedway to claim his first win of the season aboard his Best Performance Motorsports / Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors No. 1 Anthony’s Pizza / First Class Septic / Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.Erb, who took control of the lead on lap 42, navigated a caution-plagued 75-lap feature—slowed by nine yellow flags—to earn a $21,000 payday and his first career Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals victory.

“It was awesome, man. I enjoyed it," Erb said. "We broke a transmission today, knocked a radiator out in the heat race. We didn't work harder than anybody else, we just ain't had (things) go our way, but tonight it did."Erb’s doubleheader weekend in the Volunteer State began Friday with a visit to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals opener. After getting behind the eight-ball in time trials, Erb opted to load up following a ninth-place outing in his heat race. For the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial on Saturday evening at Tazewell (TN) Speedway, Tyler overcame early mechanical issues to secure a transfer spot through his heat race. Starting the feature in 11th, Erb drove into the lead on lap 42 and fended off Tennessee native Jimmy Owens over the closing laps of the 75-lap finale to claim his first win of the season and first victory on tour with the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals. The triumph in the caution-filled finale netted Erb a $21,000 payday.Complete results from the doubleheader weekend can be found at www.SouthernNationalsSeries.com.
