WHEEL, TN — July 6, 2025 — Tyler Erb enjoys his DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models races by the riverside.
After scoring his fifth Hell Tour win of 2025 on Tuesday night at Spoon River Speedway, the New Waverly, TX driver had to battle his overall title competitors for his sixth win in the tour’s debut at Duck River Raceway Park on Sunday night.
Polesitter Mark Whitener took early control of the start while Jason Feger and Tyler Erb ran behind in second and third place, respectively.
On Lap 5, Erb used the bottom lane to pass Feger at the finish line, then threw a slide job on Whitener through Turns 3-4 to take the lead on the following lap.
At the front of the field, Erb used the bottom of Turns 1-2, then ripped the cushion of Turns 3-4 to gain distance on Whitener and Feger.
Fort Payne, AL’s Sam Seawright joined the fight for the win as Feger passed Whitener for second place, then Seawright followed Feger around the top to take third place while they chased down Erb for the lead until the caution flew on Lap 22.
On the final restart of the Feature, Feger had to battle Seawright for second place by driving the bottom lane while Seawright ran the high side. The skirmish behind the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 helped Erb draw a one-second advantage.
Feger held onto second place, but could not close the gap in time as Erb took his 21st career Hell Tour win. Despite winning, Erb finished one point shy of the Week 4 championship, with Feger leaving with the $10,000 check.
“This is probably the coolest place I’ve ever been to in Tennessee,” Erb said. “This is awesome. It had a cushion, and that end over there was super racy. How many times do you get to come down south and run a cushion like that? But, just a really great night. We got six more races now, and I just got to try to win every one of them.”

Lucas Lee Wins Eighth Career Summit Modifieds Feature at Duck River Raceway Park
Lucas Lee was not going to have Sunday night's DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals trophy leave the Volunteer State.
In the Independence Day Special at Duck River Raceway Park, the Paris, TN driver had to defend home state turf against the division’s top competitors for his eighth career tour win.
Chase Holland led the field to the green flag while Trent Young followed behind in second place. Lee followed in third place for the first half of the race, then began his battle against Holland for second place by driving his Elite Chassis to the cushion of the track while Holland stood his ground on the bottom lane.
The two drivers leaned on each other through the corners, but Holland was powerless to match Lee’s pace on the top as he got clear for second place through Turn 2 of Lap 13, as Lee mounted a charge toward Young for the top spot.
Lee kept to his line around the cushion of the Wheel, TN bullring, while Young kept his No. 10Y planted to the bottom of the surface. Though Young attempted to squeeze Lee into surrendering the battle, the No. 12L overmatched the pace as Lee got clear of Young on Lap 19.
At the helm of the field, Lee transitioned to the bottom lane and kept Young back from attempting a late-race move as he went on for his first Summit Modifieds win of 2025. The Tennesseean’s triumph ties him with 2012 champion Kenny Wallace for 10th on the all-time wins list.
