Blonde Posts Another Top 10 in Weekly Racing at Butler Motor Speedway; Current Points Leader

Quincy, MI - Rhino Racing driver, Jason Blonde, had another Championship caliber performance on Saturday night at Butler Motor Speedway as part of the Pell’s Tire Service 410 Sprint Car division. The finish was Blonde’s third consecutive top 10 finish at his home track, and the effort was enough to propel Blonde into the Championship Points lead for the first time this season.

The Rhino Racing No.10BR unloaded with solid speed again, qualifying fourth quick as one of the last cars to go out on the track for qualifying. The 13.264-second lap for Blonde was only two-tenths of a second off the night’s fast qualifier. As a result, Blonde rolled off third in the heat race and brought the car home safely in fourth. This put Blonde 10th on the grid for the 25-lap main event.

With 21 cars on the property, Blonde went to work from his outside row five spot in the line-up. Following fellow competitor, Thomas Schinderle through the field, Blonde climbed to the 7th spot at the checkered flag.

One week prior, Blonde posted his first top five of the season, advancing from his sixth starting spot on a technical race track. Blonde’s hot start to the season gives him a 14-point advantage in the Pell’s Tire Service 410 Sprint Car Division Championship Standings over Schinderle, Brad Lamberson, and former track champion, Josh Turner. 

The next event for the Rhino Racing No.10BR with Jason Blonde is Saturday, May 31st at Butler Motor Speedway for the Mace Thomas Classic with the High Limit Racing Sprint Cars. Butler’s 410 Sprint Cars take this Saturday night off in preparation for the return of High Limit Racing.
