Ionia, MI - Officials with Home Pro Roofing have announced that the team has made a brand transition to become Ragged Edge Racing. In addition to the change of name for the team, owner Shannon Eifert also announced that Wisconsin native, Scotty Thiel will pilot the No.51 Home Pro Roofing entry.

The team's name change comes nearly one month to the day since it was announced that Home Pro Roofing was acquired by New York-based company, Aligned Exteriors Group (AEG). The deal, announced in late December, folds Home Pro Roofing into the AEG Group of Companies including Fargo Roofing & Siding, Perfect Exteriors of Minnesota, Trinity Exteriors, Lakes Country Roofing, Grand Forks Exteriors, and Jamestown Roofing.

“I am beyond excited to join AEG,” says Shannon Eifert, president of Home Pro. “We are only at the start of our journey at Home Pro, and I expect our business to grow even faster in the coming years as my team works alongside the AEG team. We enter this new partnership reinvigorated and ready to grow and learn.”

In 2025, Ragged Edge Racing will have full-time driver, Scotty Thiel in 35-40 races competing with the Great Lakes Super Sprints (360), FAST on Dirt (410), Bumper-to-Bumper IRA Sprints (410), All-Star Circuit of Champions (410), and World of Outlaws (410). Eifert says that some nights of racing for RER will be dedicated to charities.

"We really look forward to using the real estate on a winged sprint car to promote incredible charities," Eifert said. "We will be announcing the charities that will be on the car in mid-April. Our goal in doing this is to give support and be impactful for those wonderful charities".

This offseason was one I simply did not expect," said the 2024 Bumper-to-Bumper IRA Sprints Champion. "I was working hard [this offseason] to get things put together but if just was not working. [Ragged Edge Racing] reached out and at the end of the day, gave me an opportunity to go racing and just have fun. We will jump around specific areas and race shows that we both want to be at; in front of all of our race fans."

According to FullyInjected.com, Ragged Edge Racing and Thiel will begin their partnership January 30th through February 1st during the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
