Tri City Motor Speedway Added to Great Lakes Super Sprints Schedule

The 2024 Great Lakes Super Sprints schedule took another step toward being finalized as of Tuesday afternoon. The 47-date schedule still features tentative dates and TBA marks, however, two dates have been edited to include Tri City Motor Speedway in Auburn, MI. The move brings the track back to the calendar after initial indications were that sprint car racing would be vacant from the track's schedule in 2024.

The season begins on Saturday, April 13th at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, OH and opens the GLSS Tour schedule as well as the Ohio CAT portion of the season. On Friday, April 19th the Michigan CAT region sees their first show of the new season before moving on to Crystal Motor Speedway on April 20th.

On Saturday, May 4th a "TBA" remains on the schedule after a Friday night opener at Limaland Motorsports Park. The next event in question comes on Friday, May 10th at Gas City Speedway. The future of the northern Indiana bullring is uncertain after grumblings on social media suggested that the Speedway wouldn't contest racing in 2024. GLSS Owner/Promoter Barry Marlow remains optimistic that GLSS may be able to get an event in on May 10th.

Saturday, May 25th another TBA appears after a Friday night contest at Limaland Motorsports Park, with the same alignment on Saturday, June 22nd. The Midsummer Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway are July 11th and 12th, with a TBA on July 13th.

Tri City Motor Speedway's exciting new dates come at the beginning of July and August. First, Tri City caps off three races in four days to celebrate our Nation's independence. On Wednesday, July 3rd the stretch begins at Waynesfield Raceway Park in the Ohio CAT region, before unloading Friday, July 5th at Limaland. Then, on Saturday, July 6th the GLSS Michigan CAT division rolls into Tri City Motor Speedway for the first time.

The second appearance for Tri City on the GLSS schedule is Friday, August 2nd before chasing down Eldora Speedway on Saturday, August 3rd.
