New Smyrna Beach, FL - Persistent rain is keeping New Smyrna Speedway officials on their toes this week during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. Night one say just one race was completed before Mother Nature intervened and washed away the remainder of the night. Night two got a late start, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Qualifying was canceled, and just three races were contested, only two of them going the full distance, before Saturday night's program was also canceled due to rain.
